Maybe it is because it is the 10th edition of the Femme Filmmakers Festival – and all its specialness – but it seems the days of around 30 short films submissions are gone. This year bust the record books in regards to how many short films were submitted over on Film Freeway. This year’s event has a whopping 63 short films to savour.
This year’s online festival runs Friday 19th through Sunday 28th September 2025, and is already the biggest yet. To add to those short films, we have curated a selection of 24 feature films. And with the short films, we introduce the new Entrée Selection. Dedicated to a bagful of student films and some distinct first timers behind the camera. As usual we have the Competition Selection, featuring short films from this season (or at least going back to early 2024). And we also have an abundance of talent in the Showcase Selection.
Take a look at the full list below. The full schedule and screening details to follow. Not to mention the vast opportunities to take part in this humble little event.
