Here we go film-lovers. The 11th edition of the Femme Filmmakers Festival has now opened the registrations to the 114 short film online screenings, showing 38 of the short films from this year’s selections. The official program is just around the corner, which will have further details of the short films, but why not just take the plunge in the meantime before spaces fill up.
As well as the 38 short films screening 3 times each across the 10 days of the online festival, there will some additions across the 10 days of the festival, including feature film watch-alongs, roundtables on various topics, workshops, a female filmmaker quiz etc. These will be advertised as and when they are added – bookmark this page.
So welcome to our online film festival screening booking page. No queuing for tickets. No plane fares. No having to share a bed with a rival publication. And of course, the beauty of these screenings is that you are more than likely doing so in your own space. So we won’t be searching your bags, telling you where to sit, or shouting at you if you leave your rubbish on the seat next to you. However, there are as per usual some important notes to remember:
- There is no admission fee for the screenings, but we do want to draw your attention to our amazing charity partner this year for which we are fundraising throughout the festival.
- All short film screenings take place online via a Zoom call, link will be provided.
- You will receive a reminder email closer to the time, but we do recommend adding this to your calendars when you first register.
- We ask you do not share the Zoom link to anyone outside of the registered parties without permission of the festival.
- We recommend you join the Zoom call a few minutes prior to short film screening time.
- You are welcome to turn on your camera, but please do remain muted during the screening.
- Recording or photography during the screening is not permitted. This is down to participants discretions before or after the screening.
- We encourage participation prior to the screening, and after the screening has finished – there will be Q&As with members of the film after several screenings.
- We do have the right to turn off screens, mute microphones, and remove participants altogether If there are any signs of disrespectful behaviour.
- Short film will be screened by the host and shared across the call with visuals and sound, from the digital copy of the short film provided by the submitters.
- Screenings will start at the times stated.
- Latecomers may not be admitted.
- Events outside of the short film screenings require participation and discussion and are marked with ***
- An edit of the applicable Q&As and/or discussions will be published at a later date on the Filmotomy YouTube channel.
- We are happy to listen to our participants so please do send us feedback if you have it.
- Please contact [email protected] for any queries.
